14 permanent fencing pistes; areas for one-on-one coaching; club equipment; workshop space; shop service; gymnasium access – Tigerland is Australia’s largest modern fencing training centre.

We offer a welcoming, supportive and professional environment where beginner, novice and experienced fencers can learn, train and fence together alongside elite fencers and Olympic athletes.

At VRI you can meet and fence talented overseas and interstate fencers who frequently visit us to train alongside our members and prepare for upcoming events.

We offer a wide range of fun, engaging learn-to-fence programs for adult, teenage and young beginners. VRI caters to absolute beginners; people seeking recreational exercise; social fencing opportunities; and athletes seeking a competitive edge.

Recognised by the Australian Fencing Federation as the Best Club since AFF Awards began in 2003, VRI has had an outstanding record at state, national and international competition at all age levels, from children to veteran. VRI fencers have competed for Australia at every Olympic Games since 1956, a remarkable achievement for one not-for-profit community-based sports club.
